Sterilization lamp tubes for water treatment are characterized by UV-C output at 254 nm, rated power, arc length and end-cap material. Output degrades over lamp life, so replacement is scheduled by hours run rather than failure.
Maintenance Guidance
Quartz sleeves should be cleaned at every lamp change – fouling can cut transmitted UV dose substantially even when the lamp tests fine. Keep spare lamps on site sized to the chamber count; record cumulative run hours per channel.
