When catalytic combustion is suitable
Catalytic combustion uses a catalyst to oxidize VOCs at a lower temperature than direct thermal oxidation. It can be suitable for organic waste gas with stable concentration and proper pretreatment. Dust, oil mist, halogens, sulfur and catalyst poisoning substances should be reviewed before selection.
When to consider RTO
A regenerative thermal oxidizer is often used for large air volume VOC exhaust where high removal efficiency and heat recovery are required. RTO systems are common in coating, printing, chemical, pharmaceutical, rubber, electronics and industrial process exhaust treatment.
Thermal oxidizer and VOC incinerator applications
