Skid-Mounted Vapor Recovery Unit
A skid-mounted VRU brings the main recovery equipment, piping, valves and instruments together on a factory-assembled frame. It can reduce field assembly work and gives the project a defined package boundary for transport and installation.

What the skid can include
| Section | Typical contents |
|---|---|
| Inlet protection | Knockout drum, filter, pressure measurement, isolation and liquid drain connections. |
| Recovery process | Condenser, adsorption beds, absorber, compressor, vacuum package or other selected equipment. |
| Controls | Switching valves, transmitters, local instruments, control panel and analyzer interfaces. |
| Safety | Emergency isolation, grounding, flame protection and hazardous-area components as required. |
| Interfaces | Vapor inlet, recovered product, drain, utilities, electrical and communication connections. |
Benefits for overseas equipment orders
- The factory can verify the layout and connections before shipment.
- The buyer receives a clearer equipment list and battery-limit definition.
- Site work focuses on foundations, tie-ins, utilities and commissioning.
- The package can be designed around shipping dimensions and lifting points.
Items to confirm before fabrication
Confirm the site layout, lifting capacity, transport route, climate, paint system, electrical standard, hazardous-area classification, cable entries, utility conditions, pipe connections and local installation scope. The skid frame and equipment arrangement should follow the approved general arrangement drawing.
Quotation information
Provide the vapor source, gas analysis, flow range, operating pressure and temperature, required process route, site location, delivery date, available utilities and any dimensional or shipping restrictions.
Request a packaged VRU quotation
Share the required battery limits and site conditions. PollutionCtrl can prepare a preliminary equipment scope for review.
