Project Overview
This project serves Sanjiang Energy, aiming to treat mixed waste gas from coal tar, diesel and naphtha storage tanks. The exhaust gas still contains medium and high concentration VOCs after condensation pretreatment with complex components. The equipment is required to operate continuously for a long time and adapt to fluctuating working conditions.
Core Parameters
- Total treatment air volume: 2,000 m³/h
- Average VOC concentration: 3.6 g/m³
- Annual operation hours: 8,000 hours
Process Flow
Flame Arrestor → Gas Mixing Chamber → Electric Heater → CO Catalytic Reactor → Plate Heat Exchanger → Chimney Discharge
Safety Pretreatment: Mixed tank gas passes through the flame arrestor to block flame propagation.
Heating & Reaction: The waste gas is preheated and enters the fixed-bed catalytic reactor for low-temperature oxidation of organic compounds.
Heat Recovery: High-temperature flue gas recovers waste heat via heat exchanger to reduce auxiliary heating power.
Standard Discharge: Purified gas is discharged through a 15m-high chimney.
Main Equipment
- Flame arrestor
- Electric heater assembly
- CO catalytic reactor
- Honeycomb noble metal catalyst
- Plate heat exchanger
- Explosion-proof fan
- 15m exhaust chimney
Operation Performance
The outlet VOC concentration is less than 20 mg/m³, complying with GB 31571-2015. The total system pressure drop is below 5 kPa with smooth air flow and low noise. Complete emergency vent interlock is equipped for abnormal conditions.
Technical Highlights
- Skid-mounted modular design with small footprint, convenient installation, commissioning and maintenance
- Low-temperature catalytic reaction generates extremely low NOx with superior environmental performance
- Customized for oil tank farms, adaptable to frequent fluctuations of gas volume and concentration
