Industrial Process Instrumentation for Pollution Control

Industrial process instrumentation including temperature, pressure and flow measurement devices

Industrial pollution-control equipment depends on reliable process measurements. Temperature, pressure and flow instruments help operators monitor RTO and RCO systems, scrubbers, dust collectors, VOC exhaust ducts, activated-carbon units and wastewater-treatment processes.

PollutionCtrl supplies and sources industrial process instrumentation for pollution control systems. Product selection is based on the measured medium, process temperature, pressure, flow range, installation connection, electrical output and site environment. Final specifications are confirmed for each project.

Instrumentation for Air Pollution and Wastewater Systems

Environmental equipment requires more than a single sensor. A complete monitoring arrangement may combine resistance temperature detectors, pressure or differential-pressure transmitters, and gas or liquid flow meters. These signals can be connected to local indicators, PLC systems, data loggers or plant-control platforms when compatible outputs are selected.

Temperature Measurement

PT100 and PT1000 temperature sensors are used to monitor gas, liquid, equipment and surface temperatures. Typical pollution-control applications include RTO combustion chambers, exhaust ducts, heat exchangers, scrubber circulation systems and activated-carbon equipment.

Pressure and Differential Pressure Measurement

Industrial pressure transmitters can monitor duct pressure, fan suction or discharge pressure, pump pressure and liquid-system pressure. Differential-pressure measurement is commonly considered for bag filters, cartridge filters, scrubbers and other equipment where pressure drop indicates operating condition or filter loading.

Gas and Liquid Flow Measurement

Industrial flow meters are selected for air, process gas, water, chemical solution and wastewater applications. Common measurement points include VOC exhaust ducts, scrubber circulation lines, dosing lines, cooling-water systems and wastewater pipes.

Typical Applications

  • RTO, RCO and thermal-oxidizer temperature monitoring
  • VOC exhaust duct pressure and airflow measurement
  • Baghouse and filter differential-pressure monitoring
  • Wet-scrubber pump pressure and circulation-flow monitoring
  • Wastewater and process-water flow measurement
  • Fan, blower and ventilation-system monitoring
  • Heat-exchanger and cooling-system temperature measurement
  • PLC and remote environmental-equipment monitoring

Information Required for Instrument Selection

Please provide the measured medium, expected range, process temperature and pressure, pipe or duct size, connection type, wetted-material requirements, output signal, power supply, installation location and quantity. For replacement instruments, send the existing nameplate and clear photos of the process and electrical connections.

Common communication requirements may include 4–20 mA, voltage, pulse or RS485/Modbus signals, but availability depends on the selected model. Hazardous-area, corrosion-resistant or high-temperature applications require separate technical confirmation.
